Sra Bua by Num Weerawat Presents a New Chapter of Nature-led Creative Thai Fine Dining at Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok
(27 July 2026, Bangkok, Thailand) Sra Bua at Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok enters a new era as Chef Num Weerawat Triyasenawat takes the lead, unveiling a reimagined dining journey on 31 July 2026 that celebrates Thailand’s extraordinary biodiversity. Since opening in 2010, the restaurant has been acclaimed for its creative Thai cuisine, earning a Michelin star for six consecutive years and continuing to be recognised in the Michelin Guide. Refreshed as Sra Bua by Num Weerawat, it now invites diners to savour tasting menus rooted in the country’s seasons and producers.
As Bangkok’s first European luxury hotel, Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok has set the benchmark for refined hospitality since 2010, with its lush resort‑style backdrop, award‑winning dining and direct access to Siam Paragon. The evolution of Sra Bua strengthens the hotel’s reputation as one of the city’s leading luxury destinations, offering guests not only world‑class accommodation but also a uniquely Thai culinary experience.
Building on this distinguished legacy, Chef Num Weerawat Triyasenawat comes to Sra Bua as one of Thailand’s most influential contemporary chefs, known for redefining Thai cuisine through a profound respect for local ingredients, traditional knowledge and seasonality. Michelin Guide recognition and 50 Best Discovery acclaim now underscore the achievements of a chef who has long been inspired by visionary Australian restaurateur David Thompson’s take on Thai cooking. Earlier in his career, he gained international experience at renowned San Francisco kitchens Atelier Crenn and Commonwealth and was mentored by celebrated chefs Duangporn “Bo” Songvisava and Dylan Jones at Bo.lan in Bangkok.
“Sra Bua is about telling the story of Thailand through its ingredients,” says Chef Num Weerawat Triyasenawat. “Every season offers something different, and every producer has a story worth sharing. We listen to nature, work with what it gives us, and allow those ingredients to lead the way.”
This philosophy, honed by years of collaboration with producers and communities across Thailand, shines in two exquisite evening tasting menus, each priced at THB 4,900: the Signature Biodiversity Journey, celebrating the richness of Thailand’s land, sea and seasonal harvests, and the Plants & Roots Forward Journey, showcasing the country’s remarkable botanical diversity. Beyond these menus, a dedicated Fermentation Library, an edible exhibition of some 30 heritage Thai rice varieties, and thoughtfully curated beverage pairings inspired by Thailand’s agricultural landscape ensure a gastronomic experience that is as immersive as it is innovative.
Every detail of the restaurant has been reimagined to create a seamless expression of contemporary Thailand. Interiors by TasteSpace, uniforms by Milin, and bespoke ceramics by Thai artist Aor Sutthiprapha unite with warm, intuitive Thai hospitality for indulgent dining journeys where cuisine, craftsmanship and culture converge.
At Sra Bua by Num Weerawat, diners discover Thailand through its biodiversity, seasons and the people behind every ingredient. It is a restaurant shaped by nature, rooted in heritage and continually evolving with the rhythms of the land, sea and forest.
Open for dinner only, Sra Bua by Num Weerawat will commence service on 31 July 2026 at Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok. Reservations are now accepted at +66 (0) 02 162 9000 or srabua.siambangkok@kempinski.com.
